Basic Aqeedah
‘Aqeedah refers to those things in one’s heart and soul. In which one believes with certainty and conviction. They are free of any doubt or uncertainty.
The Arabic word ‘Aqeedah is derive from the root’ aqada which means a certainty, affirmation, confirmation and so on.
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning) in the Quran
“Allah will not punish you for unintentional oaths. But He will punish you for. Deliberate oaths. And (bima ‘aqqadtum al-Ayman)…” [5:89 al-Maidah]
Here, the verb translated as “deliberate oaths” is ‘aqqada/ta’qeed. which refers to having determination in one’s heart. In Arabic, it is said, ‘aqada’l-habl (the rope was tie), which means it was pull tight together.
Seerah
Seerah refers to the study of the life of the Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W). The Last and Final Prophet and Messenger of Allah. In Islamic sciences or the Sharee’ah, it is a study of his life and everything related to him. His information would belikeo the events and details surrounding his biography.
This course would include knowledge of events before His birth, His interactions and dealings with his companions, family and the people around him, and events shortly after his death. No book of Seerah concludes with the death of the Prophet (S.A.W). But continues a little further and in time or with a few events.
The Life Histories of Prophets
The Qur’an has mentioned 25 Prophets by name in it.
But many more are believe to have existed because the Qur’an says,
“And We sent into every nation a messenger” (Surah Nahl Ayat 16).
Hadith
Hadith is term as the teachings of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Moreover In Islam, hadith refers to what most Muslims believe to be a record of the Islamic. Prophet Muhammad’s words, actions, and silent approval as transmitted through chains of narrators. In other words to the Hadith is a reported account of what Muhammad (S.A.W) said and did. According to Emad Hamdeh, each report is a piece of data about Muhammad (S.A.W).
